In June 2020, when most of the world was shut down, Emma was at home in Danville, spending time with family while Mike was living in San Francisco. Close friends Nick and Haley DeVito (now married) also lived in the city. Haley invited Emma for a picnic/blind setup with Nick’s friend, “Hot Mike.” With an assured smile, Haley told Emma, “I’m introducing you to the man you will marry.” It turns out she was right. Everything changed on June 16, 2020. After that day, Mike and Emma spent every moment together. They happily made their relationship official soon thereafter while on a gondola in Northstar!

Over the next two years, Mike and Emma shared countless memories and adventures. They enjoyed exploring together, never turning down a new hike, run, bar, or restaurant. If you know anything about Reynolds, celebrating the holidays is an Olympic sport. Two years together meant two holiday seasons together—if Mike lasted through that, everyone knew he’d last forever! The following year, he even dressed up as Santa and pranced through the Reynolds backyard.

On December 1, 2022, they moved in together, beginning an exciting new chapter in their lives! Mike may have regretted this decision when he realized how much stuff Emma had. At that point, it was too late! He loved her regardless! Living together has been the most beautiful and fun chapter of their love story.

On February 24, 2024, under the beautiful and monumental Cypress Tree Tunnel in Point Reyes, California, Mike got down on one knee and popped the question. He carefully orchestrated a big production to ensure that Emma would never suspect the surprise. After the proposal, they headed to Cavallo Point in, at the base of the Golden Gate Bridge, for a celebratory brunch together. There awaited another surprise: Mike and Emma’s families secretly assembled to celebrate the milestone engagement moment. It was a joyful celebration shared with their loved ones. Mike ended the evening with one final surprise. He took Emma to the Inn at Tides in Sausalito for their very own romantic celebration. He had even pre-packed her suitcase! It was the best day EVER.

After five joyful years together, Mike and Emma are thrilled to celebrate their love and commitment to each other while surrounded by loved ones at the beautiful Montage Resort in Healdsburg. They cannot wait to embark upon their forever journey together as husband and wife.
